Nairobi City Tours and Excursions

Nairobi City Tour

The tour covers the city center, National Museum, adjacent Snake Park, Parliament Buildings, and Railway Museum where old steam locomotives are exhibited including the one from which Superintendent John Lyall was taken from by a man-eating lion in Tsavo in 1901. You will also visit the city market where a wide variety of African curios and tropical fruit and flowers are on sale, ending with a lunch or dinner at the Carnivore.

Nairobi National Park Tour/Excursion

This unique wildlife sanctuary is tucked just 10 Kms away from the bustling Nairobi city centre. Several animal species roam within this park including four members of the big five, exceptional being the elephant. Animals to be found here include; lions, leopards, zebras, rhinos, wildebeests, and other species including beautiful bird life. The tour returns to the city centre at sundown. A private tour of the same can be arranged in the morning.

Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen and Giraffe Center

Drive towards the Ngong Hills passing the Ngong Village to Karen Blixen Museum of 'Out of Africa' fame, which was for many years her home. Later proceed to the Giraffe Center to view and feed the famous Rothschild's Giraffe which is an endangered species from a specially constructed viewing-platform.

 

Mombasa City Tours and Excursions

Mombasa City Tour

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you into Mombasa’s city center.  The hustling and bustling life found in this historically important, Arabic and European-rooted seaport is sure to fascinate!  First site on the list to visit is Akamba Schnitzerdorf.  Here you can watch the wood carvers performing their intricate work and of course, shop for both small and large pieces of art.  Afterwards, we will visit a Hindu Temple, a massive figure from the Indian business people who worked and lived in Mombasa.  Being that the majority of Mombasa’s inhabitants belong to the Islamic religion, we will also visit a local Mosque.  Following is a visit to this city’s famous landmark, the Elephant teeth.  From here is it only a short distance by foot to the Old City with its ancient port and historical Fort Jesus, which the Portuguese built in 1593.  To wrap up the tour, one can enjoy a beautiful view of East Africa’s largest port and see the flurry of Ferries heading to southern Mombasa.  On the journey back to the hotel is the possibility to also visit the Crocodile Farm, “Mamba Village”.

1 Day Wasini Island - Dolphin Tour

Early morning departure from hotel to Shimoni Peninsula and from there take a small water taxi, a Dhow, which is traditional sailing boat of natives here.  Next you will transfer and sail with a traditional sailor to Kisite Mpunguti National Marine Park.  Whilst on board, your comfort and well-being is well taken care of.  Once in Marine Par, you can snorkel and experience the fascinating underwater world with marvelous color games of corals and watch sea turtles, giant mussels, rays and with some luck, perhaps also dolphins!  At noon you will be brought ashore and greeted with a rich buffet of seafood.  Afterwards, you can simply relax on fine sand beach and enjoy wonderful African sunshine.  You will be transfered back to hotel in the late afternoon.

1 Day Shimba Hills

In early morning you will be pick up from hotel reception by your driver.  This excursion heads to Mombasa Kenya's South Coast, past a coconut palm plantation and up to Shimba Hills National Park.

Shimba Hills National Reserve hosts the rare centime antelope, as well as many elephants, giraffes, buffalos and with some luck perhaps you will even see a leopard!  At  Rongo Mwangandi river is the possibility to make a 20-meter high trip up the Sheldrick Waterfall.  You will enjoy lunch in very beautiful Shimba Hills Lodge. Enjoy a day in valleys and hills of this beautiful National Park. In afternoon you will return to your hotel.

1 Day Malindi Tour

After breakfast, a driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive you  1.5 hours (approx. 100 km) to city of Malindi!  Malindi is one of the largest tourist cities in Kenya and boasts a history of over 800 years!  It was the main trading city hosting trade with Asia (i.e. China) and Orient through 1593, at which time the Portuguese moved their major trading activities to Mombasa.  Today, people of this Islamic-coined coastal town live naturally on fishing, cotton and sisal production and tourism.  Upon entering Malinda Bay, one is greeted by Vasco de Gama column, which is a reminder to all of the arrival here of this famous sailor and adventurer from 1498.  There is also a beautiful view of Indian Ocean to be enjoyed from here.  Furthermore, you will visit  historical town center of Malindi with its market and can enjoy a coffee in one of  many roadside cafes there before journeying back to Mombasa.
